*INSTRUMENT OF EFFECTIVE  CHASTISEMENT: LOVE*

SCRIPTURE: As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent - *Revelations 3:19*


*Chastisement can either  cause harm, or Produce repentance.* 


*Many children have been adversely affected by the chastisement of their Parents, though this may have been done with Good intentions.* 


The Bible refers to it as the chastisement of a cruel one - *Jeremiah 30:14*


*The chastisement that Produces repentance must come from a loving heart.*


Everyone whom the Lord loves, He chastises and He scourges every son whom He receives - *Hebrews 12:6*


*Therefore, whether the end of chastisement is harm or repentance, depends on the heart of the one chastising.* 


A heart filled with hatred cannot chastise for Good. 


Likewise, chastisement rooted in anger will equally be of harm and not Produce Repentance because the Bible says the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God - *James 1:20*


*The chastisement that will Produce a Glorious change must be rooted in love because love does not seek her own, love thinks no evil, it endure all things and has a Glorious hope.*


More importantly, chastisement that is rooted in love brings God into the equation because God is love - *1 John 4:8*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please give me the Grace and understanding to correct in love and help me to Gracefully receive chastisement in Jesus Christ Name.
