*THE PAY DAY IS COMING*

SCRIPTURE: Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.” So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the Gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time —houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with Persecutions — and in the age to come, eternal life - *Mark 10:28‭-‬30*


The Pay day is important to every employee because it is the day to be rewarded for his labour. 


Similarly, for everyone doing the work of God, Pay day is important.


Peter came to our Lord Jesus Christ and asked what their reward would be for leaving all to follow Jesus. Jesus responded, telling Peter that there will be a day of reward. 


*Let us take a look at one or two points about the Pay day:*


*(1)* God is the Pay Master. 


He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him - *Hebrews 11:6*


He also said behold I come quickly and my rewards are with me to give everyone according as his work might be - *Revelation 22:12*


*(2)* The Pay day is the day everyone will give account of himself and his stewardship before God - *Romans 14:12, Luke 16:2*


*(3)* Each Person will receive either a Commendation Pack or a Condemnation Pack - *Matthew 25:14-30*


*(4)* The Pack a man takes will determine where he spends his Eternity.


▪︎Those with Commendation from the Lord, will spend their Eternity with the Lord while those who received Condemnation, will be eternally cast into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.


*(5)* Two major areas will determine one's reward:


*(a)* Faithfulness 


Those who are Faithful will be commended while the Unfaithful will be clCondemned.


*(b)* Diligence or Hard work.


The slothful will receive the Condemnation Pack while the diligent will be Commended. 


Therefore, we ought to examine ourselves and our Stewardhip before God. 


Our Faithfulness and diligence to kingdom Stewardship, will determine our reward. 


The Pay Master is just. 


Therefore, we must not be slothful in the king's business. It is he that stands firm till the end that will be saved and rewarded.


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to do your work Faithfully without slothfulness so that I can receive a Commendation Pack on the Pay Day in Jesus Christ Name.
