*FROM FAILURE TO SUCCESS*
*By Pastor E O Gabriel 13 June 2025: Share*
SCRIPTURE: Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your Word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking - *Luke 5:5-6*
*Failing in any area of life is not a destination but a Passage to Success.*
Peter failed in business, he toiled all the night and caught nothing. His efforts in fishing all the night was Fruitless and he didn't go home at the end of the day, but was busy washing his nets.
It would have been a shame to go back home empty handed, after a long night of hardwork.
*Shame is associated with Failure.*
He was still at the sea shore because he had Nothing, and the Poor is separated from his neighbours - *Proverbs 19:4*
He was there nursing the Pain and the sorrows of failure.
Suddenly, Jesus came into his situation. Peter accommodated Him and his failure was turned to success.
Jesus came in to correct the mistakes that led to his failure.
*The first mistake he made was to overestimate his ability - He thought he could succeed without God.*
Paul said I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me - *Philippians 4:13*
Jesus said without me ye can do Nothing - *John 15:5*
The Second mistake he made was that as a Professional fisherman, he knew what to do to succeed.
Man is limited in knowledge but God is unlimited.
The Bible says Jesus knew what he would do - *John 6:6*
*Only God knows what we can do to succeed.*
He told Joshua the secret of Good Success when he took over from Moses - *Joshua 1:8*
The third mistake he made was that he refused to try again, where he had failed. That was why he initially objected to the command of Jesus to launch out.
The Bible says in the Place where they said unto them Ye are not my People, there shall they be called the Children of God - *Romans 9:26*
*The same Place they called them failures, shall they call them a Success.*
*Prayer:*
Father, Please in the same Place I have failed, cause me to Succeed in Jesus Christ Name (Amen).
