*ESCAPE FOR YOUR LIFE*

SCRIPTURE: And it came to Pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the Plain; escape to the Mountain, lest thou be consumed - *Genesis 19:17*

The wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah had waxed great in the sight of the Lord. 

He sent three Angels for the destruction of the City. 

*The Angels brought Lot, his wife and two daughters out Sodom and Gomorrah, with a Charge to escape for their lives by doing three things namely:*

*(1)* They should not look back.

*(2)* They should not stay in the Plain.

*(3)* They should escape to the Mountains.

*A look at these three Commands reveal deep secrets of undefeated Living.*

*Whatever battle a Man faces in life, these three Commands will guarantee Victory.*

*Let us consider them one by one:*

*(1)* Do not look back.

Unfortunately, Lot's wife disobeyed and never lived to tell the Story. 

She became a Pillar of Salt - *Genesis 19:26*

Our Destinies are not behind but ahead. 

*Looking back is the first step towards going back; it is walking away from one's Destiny.*

When Jesus overcame the Temptation of the devil, He commanded the devil to get behind Him - *Luke 4:8*

Going back is to return to the devil whose Assignment is to steal, to kill and to destroy - *John 10:10*

*(2)* Stay not at the Plain.

*This was to tell Lot and his household that you cannot stay at the level the trouble of life hit you and overcome.*

When the Amalekites came against the children of Israel, Moses, Aaron and Hur moved up to the Mountain Top - *Exodus 17:8-13*

*(3)* Escape to the Mountain.

This talks about the need to Change the Altitude. 

Though not necessarily the Geographic Altitude but one's Spiritual Altitude. 

*The Greatest Secret of an undefeated Life is to gain Spiritual 6altitude; moving up in the Place of Prayer and Fasting and other Spiritual Exercises.*

The Apostle said we will give ourselves continually to Prayer and the Ministry of the Word - *Acts 6:4*

*Prayer:* 

Father, Please in this wicked world, empower me to escape for my Life in Jesus Christ Name.
