*FROM JERUSALEM TO JERICHO*

SCRIPTURE: Jesus answering said, A certain Man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead - *Luke 10:30*

A certain Man went down from Jerusaleum to Jericho and fell into the hands of thieves who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him and left him half dead.

The man went down. 

Therefore, he descended from a Higher Height, to a Lower Height.

*Spiritually, a journey from Jerusaleum to Jericho is a journey of backsliding, Spiritual Slumbering and Deadness.*

*This journey attracts the attacks of thieves whose Primary Assignment is to steal, to kill and to destroy* - *John 10:10*

*When the man descended, three things happened to him:*

*(1)* He was stripped of his rainment. His nakedness was exposed, he was reproached and shamed.

The bible says sin is a reproach to any People - *Proverbs 14:34*

*(2)* He was wounded, he was afflicted with Pain and Sorrow.

The Psalmist said before I was afflicted, I went astray - *Psalms 119:67*

The Man went astray and was therefore afflicted.

*(3)* He was left half dead - He was neither dead nor alive. He was unconscious, and in a coma.

*He was breathing but not serving any Useful Purpose.* 

When Lazarus was raised from the grave, he came out with hands and legs bound with grave clothes and his face bound with a napkin - *John 11:44*

*From the above therefore the journey from Jerusaleum to Jericho is a journey that must be avoided to escape from the hands of thieves waiting to strip, to wound and to leave half dead.*

*Prayer:* 

Father, Please help me never to embark on the journey of Jerusaleum to Jericho so that I will not loose my Heritage in You in Jesus Christ Name.
