            *GOD CARES*

SCRIPTURE: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you - *1 Peter 5:7*


The Story of the visit of the Angel of the Lord to Elijah when he got a Message of death from Jezebel showed that God cares for His own.


Elijah ran for his life into the wilderness and sat under a Juniper tree and requested that he might die - *1 Kings 19:4*


*The following lessons are learnt in this Story:*


*(1)* When no one cares, He cares.


Elijah was alone in the wilderness, no one to care for him in his state of discouragement but God cared for him.


The Psalmist said when my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me - *Psalms 27:10*


*(2)* The Lord cares much more than we care for ourselves.


Elijah requested that he might die but God visited him through an Angel and served him with cake and water.


Hannah requested for just a Man child from the Lord but God gave her three sons and two daughters - *1 Samuel 1:11; 1 Samuel 2:21*


*(3)* God cares for the Present Predicament.


Elijah was discouraged and depressed but the Angel visited him twice to lift him out of his Predicament.


The Bible says the Lord who remembered us in our Low Estate, for His Mercy endures for ever - *Psalms 136:23*


*(4)* God cares for our future.


Elijah ate bread and drank water twice and had Strength for his future Assignment.


The Lord said I know the thoughts I think towards you, the thoughts of Peace and not of evil to give you an expected End - *Jeremiah 29:11*


*(5)* God cares about how will end in life.


Jezebel sought after the Life of Elijah and Elijah himself requested for death but God never allowed him to taste death. 


When his time to be called home came, God sent Chariot of fire to take him home.


The Bible says mark the Perfect Man, behold the Upright, the end of that Man is Peace - *Psalms 37:37*


*From the above therefore, the Bible says in our Anchor Text that because He cares and we should cast all our burden unto Him.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to be anxious for nothing because You care for me in Jesus Christ Name.
