*REND THE HEAVENS, OH LORD! (Part 2)*

SCRIPTURE: As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy Name known to thine adversaries, that the Nations may tremble at thy Presence! - *Isaiah 64:2*

*Isaiah the Prophet desperately desired the Presence of God and asked Him to rend the Heavens and come down.*

*Let us consider what gave him the boldness to ask God to rend the Heavens:*

*(1)* He understood by Books that He had come down before. 

When the children of Israel were oppressed by Pharaoh and they cried to Him, He came down to deliver them - *Daniel 9:2, Exodus 3:7-8*

*(2)* He understood by Books that whatever He had done before, He would do again - *Daniel 9:2, Malachi 3:6*

*(3)* He had a Personal Encounter with God and knew Him - *Isaiah 6:1-8, Daniel 11:32*

*(4)* He understood by Books that one can Command God concerning the works of His Hand - *Isaiah 45:11*

The Heavens were created by God, hence commanding Him concerning the works of His Hands.

*(5)* He understood by Books that whenever God comes down, His children will rejoice while His enemies will mourn. 

When He came down for the children of Israel, the Captivity of four hundred and thirty years ended and their Captors were drowned in the Red Sea - *Exodus 15:4; Hebrews 11:29*

*How do we Provoke Him to rend the Heavens:*

*(1)* Going Up Higher - *Exodus 19:20*

*(2)* Violent Faith - *Daniel 3:17* 

*(3)* Desperation to see God - *Psalms 42:1-2*

*(4)* Resilience in the Place of Prayer - *Luke 18:1*

*(5)* Unquenchable Hunger and thirst for Righteousness - *Psalms 24:3-4*

When God rends the Heavens, His People rejoice while His enemies mourn. 

*No Price is too much to Provoke Him to rend the Heavens.*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please empower me to seek You till you rend the Heavens to come down in Jesus Christ Name.
