*REND THE HEAVENS, OH LORD!*

SCRIPTURE: Oh that thou wouldest rend the Heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the Mountains might flow down at thy Presence - *Isaiah 64:1*

When Sennacherib, the King of Assyria invaded the Southern Kingdom of Israel, he captured Judah and lay siege on Jerusaleum. Isaiah the Prophet cried to God in our Bible Text above to rend the Heavens and come down. He did not ask God to open the Heavens because the  Heavens have Doors and Windows - *Psalms 78:23; Genesis 8:2*

Heaven is God's Headquarters - *Isaiah 66:1* 

Heaven is also the Dwelling Place of God - *1 Kings 8:30,43; Isaiah 40:22*

*Isaiah asked God to rend the Heavens meaning to tear the Heavens into Pieces because no door nor window in Heavens is wide enough for God to Pass through.*

The Bible says, the Heaven of Heavens cannot contain Him - *1 Kings 8:27; 2 Chronicles 2:6*

*If He will therefore, come down, He will have to rend the Heavens.*

*What Happens When He Comes Down:*

*(1)* He will come down to deliver a Man from the hand of the enemies too Strong for him.

He came down to deliver the children of Israel from the hand of Pharaoh - *Exodus 3:7-8*

*(2)* He will come down as the Very Present Help in trouble to help the Helpless - *Psalms 46:1*

When the three Hebrew Men were thrown into a fiery furnace, He came down to Help them in their Troubles - *Daniel 3:25*

*(3)* He will come down to ensure that the Present situation is not the Final Destination. 

When He came down in the midst of the three Hebrew Men, they were walking in the midst of Fire - *Daniel 3:25*

*When a Man is walking it means he hasn't reached his Destination.*

Whenever God comes down, wherever a Man is, will be his least - *1 Corinthians 2:9*

*(4)* When He comes down, He will make His Name known to His Adversities - *Isaiah 64:1*

He came down as the Consuming Fire in the days of Elijah, and the children of Israel who had gone into idolatry, repented, fell on their faces and declared that the Lord, He is the God - *1 Kings 18:39*

*(5)* When He comes down, He will bring Prophecies into Fulfilment.

When God stepped down from Eternity to time, He brought to fulfillment what had been Prophesied concerning the Mad Man of Gadara - *Genesid 49:19, Mark. 5:1-18*

*When God rends the Heavens and comes down, no matter how high, how wide and how long the Mountain has been, it will melt because Fire goes before Him - *Psalms 97:3*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please for my sake, rend the Heavens and come down in Jesus Christ Name.
