*CONFRONT YOUR FEAR*

SCRIPTURE: And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: - *Exodus 4:4*

God was sending Moses from Midian to Egypt, for the Deliverance of the children of Israel from the hand of Pharaoh. Moses needed a Sign to convince everyone that he was sent by God.

God asked Him what was in his hand, he answered, 'a rod.' He was asked to drop the rod and it turned into a serpent. He saw the serpent and fled - *Exodus 4:3*

He fled for fear but the Lord told Moses to put forth his hand and take it by the tail.

Invariably, God was asking him not to run away from his fear but to confront it.

*Whatever you don't confront, you won't conquer and whatever you don't conquer, its servant will you be forever.*

*Danger of running away from your fear?*

*(1)* Fear can put a man in bondage all his Lifetime - *Hebrews 2:15*

Moses would have remained in Midian all the days of his Life, if he had not confronted his fear.

*(2)* Moses would have died a Murderer without being a Deliverer. 

*Fear will stand between you and your best.*

*(3)* Moses wouldn't have returned to Egypt, his Place of assignment for fear.

*No man would fulfil his God-Given Assignment except he has conquered his fear.*

*(4)* God wouldn't have walked with Moses, if he hadn't confronted  his fear.

*With fear, it is impossible to Please God* - *Hebrews 11:6*

*(5)* Moses' rod would have forever remained a Shepherd's rod. 

*It wouldn't have become the rod of God, Performing Mighty Miracles - The rod that opened the Red Sea; the rod that brought water out of the rock.*

*(6)* Moses would have forever served man (Jethro his father-in law), if he hadn't conquered his fear. 

He wouldn't have served God.

*(7)* Moses wouldn't have made it to Heaven - *Mark. 9:2-4*

The Bible says, the fearful will have their Part in the lake that burns with fire - *Revelation 21:8*

*How to confront our fear?*

*(1)* By our willingness to take steps, in the face of fear.

It is risky to take a serpent by the tail. 

*(2)* Our steps must be Word-based.

The steps must be taken because the Lord said so

Take the serpent by the tail because God said so.

Wherewithal shall a Young Man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy Word - *Psalms 119:9*

*Prayer:*

Father, empower me to live by Faith and not by Sight and to walk in boldness, in the face of fear in Jesus Christ Name.
