*DON'T CURSE DARKNESS RATHER CALL FOR LIGHT*

*By Pastor E O Gabriel  02 September 2025: Share*

SCRIPTURE: Then he called for a Light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas - *Acts 16:29*

Paul and Silas were beaten and imprisoned unjustifiably and  rather than nursing their Pains and wounds, they Prayed and sang Praises. The Lord intervened and the Prison doors opened. Their Midnight ended, but the Jailer's Midnight began.

The escape of Prisoners from the Prison meant a death Sentence for the Jailer.

Therefore, when the Jailer awoke out of sleep and saw the Prison doors opened, his own Midnight came. He drew out a sword to kill himself, but Paul cried out, 'do yourself no harm for we are still here.'

The Bible says in our Anchor Text above that he called for a Light.

*This teaches us that when our Midnight comes, when our dark moments come, we don't need to curse darkness like Job did. He cursed the day he was born. But, we are to call for a Light. When light comes, one  will walk out of darkness unhurt.*

Peter was put in Prison when Herod stretched his hand against the Church.

The Brethren Prayed unto God for him, and while he was sleeping in Prison, the Angel of the Lord came in and Light came in the Prison.

With the Light, Peter walked out of Prison unhurt - *Acts 12:1-11*

*Lamenting, groaning in Pain and even trying to kill oneself in darkness, is not the way out, calling for Light is the solution.*

In the beginning, when darkness was upon the face of the deep. God said let there be Light and there was Light. And God saw that the Light was Good - *Genesis 1:1-4*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please let there be Light in every dark area of my Life in Jesus Christ Name.
