*WHAT TO REMEMBER WHEN TEMPTED TO GIVE UP*

SCRIPTURE: Remember Lot’s wife -*Luke 17:32*

Life is full of Challenges including Physical Challenges like life threatening sicknesses and diseases. 

Marital Challenges like loneliness, delay in child bearing, coping with a stubborn and uncooperative spouse, coping with disobedient children etc.

Financial Challenges like inability to meet one's Financial Needs, living in debts, losing Investments etc 

Emotional Challenges like living in fear and worries, being troubled by demons, sleeplessness etc.

Spiritual Challenges like inability to Pray and discern issues Spiritually etc.

As Believers, whenever these Challenges arise, we Pray, Fast and do all that we know we can do.

Most often, with all efforts, nothing seems to Change for good, it might even be deteriorating.

*Hence, we are tempted to give up, but rather than yielding to the Temptation, let us remember the following:*

*(1a)* God is with you. 

He said, 'I will be with you always even unto the end of the world - *Matthew 28:20, Isaiah 43:2*

*(1b)* Christ is Presently seated at the Right Hand of God, making Intercession for you - *Romans 8:34, Luke 22:31-32*

*(2)* There is enough Strength in God to continue and overcome - *Philippians 4:13, Psalms 84:7*

*(3)* All things including adversities are working for your Good - *Romans 8:28, Genesis 50:20*

*(4)* You can't go up by giving up - *Luke 9:62*

Our Calling is to come up Higher - *Revelation 4:1*

*(5)* Jesus our example, did not give up - *1 Peter 2:21*

*(6)* Heros and Heroines of Faith did not give up.

*(7)* Winners are commended and celebrated, while Quitters are ignored and condemned - *2 Timothy 4:7-8, Revelation 2:7*

*Our Anchor Bible Text above admonishes us to remember the wife of Lot who couldn't go up because she gave up.*

*What do we need to do to keep going?*

*(1)* Keep rejoicing in our Challenges - *Philippians 4:4, Nehemiah 8:10*

*(2)* Not weary in well doing - *Galatians 6:9*

*(3)* Be Hopeful and Confident of a Brighter tomorrow - *Isaiah 3:10*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please give me Grace not to yield to any Temptation to give up in Jesus Christ Name.
