*GRATITUDE IS THE CATALYST FOR SELF ENCOURAGEMENT*

SCRIPTURE: In everything give Thanks; for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit -

*1 Thessalonians 5:18‭-‬19*

*Many atimes we get discouraged in Life when we are confronted with the unexpected ugly side of Life.*

Elijah had just brought about National Revival to Israel by killing four hundred and fifty Prophets of Baal. The drought of three and a half years in the land was over, his expectation was that there would be Jubilation and Celebration everywhere. The unexpected happened, he got a Message threatening his Life. He ran for his Life and was discouraged - *1 Kings 19:1-4*

David, a Mighty Man of war, went out to war and returned home with his Army, only to discovered that the Amalekites had invaded his City and carried away all the women and children including his wives and children. He was discouraged and wept until he had no Power to weep - *1 Samuel 30:1-6*

*Unexpected and Ugly situations are usually the trigger of discouragement.*

*If only we can remember to give Thanks to God in times of discouragement,  Gratitude will revive our Spirit - *1 Thessalonians 5: 18-19*

*Gratitude drives out every Low Moment in our lives.*

*It is not Possible to be Grateful and be sad. Gratitude will trigger Self Encouragement.*

The Bible says, David encouraged himself in the Lord when he decided to bless God for his Predicaments - *Psalms 34:1*

*As soon as David began to give Thanks to God, his discouragement gave way to Strength and Victory.*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please empower me to give Thanks whenever I am discouraged in Life in Jesus Christ Name.
