*FOUNDATIONAL ISSUES AGAINST GLORY AHEAD*

*By Pastor E O Gabriel  05 January 2026: Share*

SCRIPTURE: “Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy Country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a Land that I will shew thee" - *Genesis 12:1 (KJV)*

God revealed to Abram that there was Glory ahead of him, and He Promised to make him a Great Nation - *Genesis 12:2*.

But for Abram to enjoy that Glory, God instructed him to break away from the Foundational Issues in his family - *Genesis 12:1*

As the Bible says:

“If the Foundations be destroyed, what can the Righteous do?” - *Psalm 11:3*

*Let us look at some of the Foundational Issues Abram had to separate from:*

*(1) Delay*

Abram’s father’s name was Terah, which means delay.

With delay in his Foundation, his Set Time for Glory could have suffered serious Setbacks.

*(2) Untimely Death*

Abram’s Younger brother, Haran, died shortly after the birth of his only son, Lot.

With Untimely Death in his Lineage, Abram himself risked dying before the day of his Glory arrived.

*(3) Barrenness*

Abram’s wife, Sarai, was barren.

Barrenness Signifies Unfruitfulness.

With Barrenness in his Foundation, what was meant to be a Blessing could easily become a burden.

*(4) Failure at the Edge of Success*

Terah Set Out for Canaan but stopped at Haran, halfway to the Promise, and died there.

This Foundational Issue suggests getting close to Glory but never entering in.

*(5) Being Tied to Parental Control*

When Terah decided to relocate, Abram followed with his wife.

This Foundational Issue could have turned Abram from a Blessing into a burden, tied down by another Man’s Vision rather than walking in his own Divine Instruction.

*God made it clear that for Abram to enjoy the Glory Ahead, these Foundational Limitations had to be broken.*

That is why He said:

“Get thee out of thy Country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house...”

*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, empower me to break away from every Foundational Issue that may deny me access to the Glory Ahead in Jesus Christ Name
