*WHERE ARE YOU GOING?*

SCRIPTURE: And the Angel of the Lord found her by a Fountain of water in the Wilderness, by the Fountain in the way to Shur. And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s Maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my Mistress Sarai - *Genesis 16:7-8 KJV*

Hagar, Sarah’s Maid, was impregnated by Abraham. This development made Hagar begin to despise Sarah, her Mistress. 

In response, Sarah dealt harshly with her, and when Hagar could no longer endure it, she fled from her Mistress.

*While fleeing, the Angel of the Lord found her in the Wilderness and asked her two Questions:*

*(1)* Where are you coming from?

*(2)* Where are you going?

*In the Journey of Life, everyone must be Prepared to answer these two Questions.* 

*When Hagar was asked, she answered the first Question but, like many of us, could not answer the second one.*

The Angel of the Lord told her to return to her Mistress and continue in the difficult environment.

*Why was Hagar asked to return to a toxic Environment?*

*First, when you do not know where you are going in Life, the Divine Resources at your disposal will be wasted, and you may eventually return to where you started.*

Hagar could not answer where she was going, so the Angel of the Lord could not help her; she had to go back.

*It is very easy for a Person who does not know where they are going in Faith to Backslide.*

When God called Abraham, He kept showing him where he was going - *Genesis 13:14-15; Genesis 15:5*

When Stephen was being stoned to Death, he saw where he was going - *Acts 7:56*

*Secondly, Hagar was asked to return because the baby in her womb needed the Blessing of Abraham to become who he was ordained to be.*

Her Premature exit from that harsh Environment would have destroyed the Destiny of the child.

*Some difficult Environments are necessary for the fulfilment of our Destiny.*

*Prayer*

Father,  Please open my eyes to see where You are taking me in Life in Jesus Christ Name.
