*PARTIAL KNOWLEDGE*
*By Pastor E O Gabriel 18 May 2026:Share*
SCRIPTURE: My People are destroyed for lack of Knowledge: because thou hast rejected Knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no Priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the Law of thy God, I will also forget thy children - *Hosea 4:6 KJV*
*One of the Greatest undoings of Believers is Partial Knowledge of who we are in Christ Jesus.*
*A cursory look at the Life of John the Baptist confirms that many Challenges that overwhelm Believers are the result of Partial Knowledge of their Identity in Christ.*
People came to ask John the Baptist who he was.
They asked if he was Christ, and he answered in the Negative.
They then asked if he was Elijah, the Prophet Malachi Prophesied would come before Christ - *Malachi 4:5–6*
John the Baptist again answered in the Negative.
They asked if he was one of the Prophets, and he answered no.
They then asked who he was so they could report to those who sent them.
He answered, saying he was the Voice of one crying in the Wilderness, Preparing the way of the Lord - *Isaiah 40:3*
*However, when we read the Account of our Lord Jesus Christ, we see that John the Baptist was indeed the Elijah who was to come before Christ* - *Matthew 17:10–13*
*Unfortunately, until the day of his death, John the Baptist did not fully know that he was the Elijah who was to come before Christ.*
*Partial Knowledge limits the Operation of Divine Power.*
Lack of Knowledge exposes Believers to avoidable Suffering - *Hosea 4:6*
*Understanding our Identity in Christ determines how we confront Challenges.*
Knowledge of who we are in God empowers us to confront Opposition boldly - *2 Kings 1:9–12*
If John the Baptist had fully understood his Prophetic Identity, he might not have experienced the tragic end he suffered.
The Scripture declares that God’s People are destroyed for lack of Knowledge.
Therefore, every Believer must Pursue the full Knowledge of who they are in Christ.
*Prayer*
Father, Please open the eyes of my Understanding that I may fully know who I am in Christ in Jesus Christ Name.
