WHEN MEN FORGET

*WHEN MEN FORGET*
*By Pastor E O Gabriel 31 July 2026: Share*
SCRIPTURE: Then spake the Chief Butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day - *Genesis 41:9 KJV*
When Joseph was imprisoned in Egypt, two Officers of the King, the Baker and the Butler, were brought into the Prison.
One Night, each of the two Officers had a Dream that troubled them.
They told their Dreams to Joseph, who interpreted the dreams for them.
When Joseph interpreted the Dream of the Butler, he charged him to remember him when he was restored to his Position in the Palace of the King, but the Butler forgot him.
Though the Butler forgot the good he received from Joseph, when the time came for Joseph to be lifted, the King dreamt and no one could interpret the dream. They therefore sent for Joseph. This eventually led to the lifting of Joseph.
*There are a number of Lessons to learn from this Story, some of which are:*
*1)* It is Human to forget. Man can even reward evil for good.
*2)* The forgetfulness of man cannot stop Divine Reward because God is not unrighteous to forget our work and labour of Love - *Hebrews 6:10*
*3)* When the time of reward comes, those who forgot you will suddenly remember you, or God can reward you without them - *Gene's 41:9–13*
*4)* When your appointed time for reward has not come, their remembrance of you will be fruitless since God is the Rewarder - *Revelation 22:12*
*5)* When our appointed time for reward comes, our Enemies can recommend us - *Esther 6:1–9*
*6)* Nursing a grudge against those who forget our Good Gestures is unproductive, as it has the tendency to spring up a root of bitterness in us and defile us before God - *Hebrews 12:14–15*
*7)* We must not be weary in well doing.
*From the aforementioned, therefore, our eyes must not be on any man for reward but on God.*
*Prayer*
Father in the Name of Jesus, when men forget me, Please remember me and let my appointed time of reward come speedily in Jesus Christ Name.
