FRESH FIRE

 SEED OF TRANSFORMATION DAILY DEVOTIONAL 

                                       

              *FRESH FIRE*

SCRIPTURE: And when they were escaped, then they knew that the Island was called Melita. And the barbarous People shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the Present rain, and because of the cold - *Acts 28:1‭-‬2*

*There are two words we need to explain to be on the same page: Fire and Fresh.*

Fire is the Symbol of God's Presence or Activity - *Deuteronomy 9:3, Hebrews 12:29*

Moses encountered God through Fire - *Exodus 3:2*

The People fell on their faces when the Lord answered by Fire and said the Lord is God - *1 kings 18:38-39*

*Fresh means recently made or obtained. It is something New that has not lost the Qualities of Newness. It is not Stale.*

*Fresh Fire therefore means a recently ignited Presence of God.*

*In Acts 2,* In the day of Pentecost, Fresh Fire came like a Mighty rushing wind.

In our anchor text, a Fresh Fire was kindled.

*Let me say that Fresh Fire is meant for three categories of People.*

*First, those whose Fire has gone out.* 

Their Power and Passion are gone out.

People like Samson - *Judges 16*

*Second, those whose Fire has gone down.* 

The Fire is still there but it has dwindled - *Judges 6:12-13*

The Angel of the Lord said to Gideon the Lord is with you though Mighty Man of Valour.

He replied if the Lord be with us why are all this befallen us, and where are all His Miracles our fathers told us about?

*The third Category  are those who are seeking for Higher Fire.*

Paul the Apostle encountered Fresh Fire for a Higher Realm of the Miraculous of Glorious Manifestations.

*Let me add quickly that when Fresh Fire is ignited in your Life, it is your responsibility to keep it burning.*

*God gives the Fire but the responsibility to keep it burning is yours.*

In our text, when the Fire was ignited, Paul gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on Fire, so as to keep the Fire burning.

The fire on the altar shall be burning in it, it shall not go out, the Priest shall lay wood in it every morning. *Leviticus 6:12*

*In our anchor text, we see that a viper showed up while was gathering sticks  fastening on Paul's hands; there are Lessons.*

*The devil will resist you while trying to keep the burning.*

And the devil knew that the same hand gathering the sticks will soon be laid on the sick for healing.

*Whatever God has loaded for a Mighty Exploit will be attacked by the devil.*

Where did the viper come from?

*The viper has always been, but it was the Fire that exposed it.*

*When the Fire is burning, every evil in you and around you will be exposed.*

*What are the blessings of Fresh Fire?*

-  It exposes evil and around you and deals with them.

- It Silences false Accusers. 

- It brings you out of Challenges unhurt.

- It Prepares you for Mighty Exploits.

- It gives you a Fresh Start.

*Prayer:*

Father, I receive your Fresh Fire of Revival in Jesus Name. Amen.
