*THE LORD WAS WITH JOSEPH*

SCRIPTURE: And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a Prosperous man; and he was in the house of his Master the Egyptian -

*Genesis 39:2*


The Story of Joseph began when Jacob's Generation was introduced - *Genesis 37:2*


Thereafter, Joseph went through so many Challenging times. But it was never recorded for us that the Lord was with him until he came to the house of Pontiphar. 


*This tells us that the Challenges he faced in Life which included threats to his Life, removal of his coat of many colours, being cast into a pit and being sold to Ishmealites brought him closer to God.* 


The Bible says, our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory - *2 Corinthians 4:17*


*The Challenges were allowed by God to remove the inadequacies and the shortcomings in the Life of Joseph.*


We are told that Jacob loved Joseph more than his Brethren because he was the son of his old age, and Jacob made for him a coat of many Colours - *Genesis 37:3*


Because of Jacob's love for him, Joseph was Proud, having the feeling of being better than his Brethren. 


This is reflected in the way he shared his Dreams. No wonder his father, Jacob rebuked him when he shared his Dream - *Genesis 37:10*


*The Challenges Joseph went through brought about a Glorious Transformation in him.* 


He acknowledged this in his Testimony to his brothers. He said to them, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto me for Good - *Genesis 50:20*


The Challenges made Joseph a better Christian, and he enjoyed the Presence of the Lord. 


The Psalmist said it is Good for me to be afflicted that I might learn thy Statutes - *Psalms 119:71*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please let me enjoy Your Presence through the Challenges of my Life in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
