    *THE EVILS OF DELAYS*

SCRIPTURE: Son of Man, what is that Proverb that ye have in the Land of Israel, saying, The days are Prolonged, and every Vision faileth? - *‭Ezekiel 12:22 KJV‬*

*Delays are not of God. They run contrary to God's Plan for our lives.*

The evils of delays are obvious in the Life of Terah, Abraham's father. 

*Terah means delay, and the  following are obvious in his Life:*

*(1)* Delays cause Visions and Prophesies to fail.

• Terah set out from his Native Land Ur to go to Canaan with Abram, Sarah, and Lot. 

He got to Haran, mid-way dwelt there, and died without reaching Canaan - *Genesis 11*

• Good Visions and True Prophesies fail with delays - *Ezekiel 12:22*

*(2)* Delays result in Wasted Years. 

• Terah did not bear until he was seventy-five years old.

The journey that would have taken the Children of Israel a few days took them 38 years. They moved in Circles - *Deuteronomy 1:2; Deuteronomy 2:13-14*

• Circular Movements will give way to forward and upward Movements.

*(3)* Delays result in Losses.

• Terah gave birth to Haran, who married, had a son ,Lot, and died. 

*Delays Produce Losses.*

*(4)* With delays, Relevance expires.

• Terah gave birth to Nahor, and Nahor married, and nothing was heard of him again. 

His fame disappeared. His Sun went down, his Moon withdrew itself, and his Glory was covered and buried.

*(5)* Delays births Fruitlessness. 

• Terah gave birth to Abram, and Abram married Sarai, but she was barren - *Genesis 11:30*

• Delays limit Productivity, hinder Achievements, results in casting without catching, sowing  without reaping, and Fruitlessness. 

*Prayers:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, Please let all evils of Delays end in my Life and Lineage in Jesus Christ Name.
