        *NEW SONG - Part 1*

SCRIPTURE: And he hath put a New Song in my mouth, even Praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD - *Psalm 40:3 KJV*


*Songs are important in giving expression to the inward feelings in Man.*


*Songs are words that are repeated severally in a Melody.*


When the children of Israel were carried into  Babylonian Captivity, they expressed their Pains in a Song. 


They sang by the River of Babylon there we sat down, yea we wept, when we remembered Zion - *Psalms 137:1*


The same children of Israel when they crossed the Red Sea on dry ground sang to express their Victory. 


They sang Who is like unto thee, O  Lord, among  the gods? Who is like unto thee, Glorious in Holiness, fearful in Praises, doing wonders? - *Exodus 15:11*


They witnessed the wonders of God and expressed their Gratitude in Song.


In our Anchor Bible Text above, God intervened in David's Life. He brought him out of a horrible and helpless situation and turned around his Captivity. He began to sing a New Song to express Divine intervention.


*The beauty of a New Song is that it erases the pain of Past Experiences.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, Please give me a New Song that will make me forget my Painful Past in Jesus Christ Name.
