*THE HAND OF GOD - Part 1*

SCRIPTURE: And immediately Jesus Stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little Faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? - *Matthew 14:31 KJV*


Whenever the Lord Stretches His Hand, it is to address Challenges. 


The Bible says those who are whole need no Physician, but they that are sick do - *Matthew 9:12*


In the above Scriptures, Peter was walking on water to go to Jesus; a Landmark Achievement in Life. But, he turned his eyes away from Jesus to see the boisterous wind. He was afraid and began to sink. While sinking, he cried to the Lord to save Him. And immediately, Jesus Stretched forth his hand and caught him - *Matthew 14:28-31*


*Let us consider what the Hand of God did in the Life of Peter:*


*(1)* It saved him from sinking. 


• The Bible says, His right hand saves those who put their Trust in Him from those who rise up against them - *Psalms 17:7*


*(2)* Jesus saved him from Untimely Death. 


But for His Stretched hand, Peter would have drowned.


*With the hand of the Lord, every Covenant with Death shall be disannualled, and any device of Hell shall not Stand* - *Isaiah 28:18*


*With God's Hand, our Declaration shall be that I will not die but live to declare the works of the Lord* - *Psalm 118:17*


*(3)* The Lord's Hands Suspended the Natural Law of Gravity.


When Peter was sinking, the Law of Gravity was active. But when Jesus Stretched his hand, the Law was Suspended. 


*The Hand of God will Suspend any Man made Laws against our Progress.*


Man made Law were Changed for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego - *Daniel 3:28*


*(4)* The Lord's Hands Preserved Peter's Destiny.


• It was Peter's Destiny that:


*(a)* He will Preach one Sermon, and 3000 Souls will be saved - *Acts 2:41*


*(b)* He will Preach another Sermon, and 5000 Souls will be saved - *Acts 4:4*


*(c)* His Shadow will heal the sick - *Acts 5:15*


*If Peter was drowned that day, the above would not have manifested.*


*(5)* It Preserved his going out and coming in - *Psalm 121:8*


*Peter's Journey began with excitement but would have ended in disaster but for the Hand of the Lord.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, Please do in my Life what Your Hand did in the Life of Peter in Jesus Christ Name.
