*BEWARE OF EVIL COUNSEL*

SCRIPTURE: Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the Old Paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in  it.’ -*Jeremiah 6:16*

In our journey of Destiny, we need Counsel; most especially at the cross roads of our lives. 

*YOU ARE WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF MARCH 2025  the thred month in the year 2025, In this thred month, you shall see unusual manifestation of the Recovery Power of God in your life in Jesus’ Name.*                                    

*The Bible says in our text, that when we stand in the ways, we are to ask for the Old Paths.*

The Bible says where no Counsel is the People fall; but in the Multitude of Counsellors, there is Safety - *Proverbs 11:14*

*Where there is no Counsel, we are vulnerable to irredeemable errors but through counsel we stand on the shoulders of Giants*

As beneficial as seeking  Counsel is, we need to be weary of evil counsels. 

*Many great Destinies have been wasted through evil Counsels.*

Rehoboam, the son of Solomon took an evil Counsel when the Elders came to him for a request. Through an evil Counsel, the Kingdom of Israel divided over him and he could only rule over Judah - *1 Kings 12:13-17*

*Evil Counsels have ruined many Marriages today and abruptly ended Good Destinies.*

Absalom, the son of David died Prematurely by accepting the evil Counsel of Hushai over and an above the Good and Godly counsel of Ahithophel - *2 Samuel 17:14*

*The Practical challenge we often face, is how do I discern an evil counsel?*

The Bible says thy way is in the sea, thy Path is in Great waters and thy footsteps not known - *Psalms 77:19*

 

It is simple as well as complex. It is simple if you are a child of God indeed but complex if you are not. 

Knowing an evil Counsel for a child of God who is willing to do the Will of God, starts with searching the written Word of God. The Word will reveal to you whether it is Good or evil.

*Be guided by the fruits your Counsellor bears:*

I. A Divorcée cannot give you Good Counsels concerning your Marriage. 

II. A Person who is unsuccessful in business, cannot help to grow your Business. 

*We should always remember nobody can give what he doesn't have.*

*He who sits in darkness cannot show you the Path of light.*

The Psalmist said thou will show me the Path of life. *Ps. 16:11*

*Endeavour to reach out to men and women full of the Holy Spirit and Wisdom.*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please let me not fall Prey to evil Counsel in life in Jesus Christ Name.
