            *JUST ONE MAN*

SCRIPTURE: No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you - *Joshua 1:5*


God made some specific Promises to Joshua, after he succeeded Moses, in leading the children of Israel to the Promised Land. 


One of such Promises was that no man will stand against him - This meant that he would not be defeated. But, he was not to turn to the right or the left, from God's covenant, as He commanded Moses - *Joshua 1:7*


This Promise was made manifest, several times; Nations and Kings were subdued by Joshua because of God's Promise to him.


But the unexpected happened when Israel faced a small Nation called Ai and Israel was defeated - *Joshua 7: 1-9*


Had the Lord failed to keep His Promise? 


Joshua went before the Lord and it was revealed to him, that one man had taken an accursed thing -:So Israel had sinned and transgressed God's Covenant - *Joshua 7:10*


One man had caused the defeat of a whole Nation. 


Humanly speaking, this was a Pass Mark for Israel but, sin is sin to God.


When God would have healed Israel, then was the iniquity of Ephraim discovered - *Hosea 7:1* 


Israel had twelve tribes, one of which was the Tribe of Joseph; Joseph had the Tribes of Manasseh and Ephraim. God was to heal Israel but Ephraim's sin was uncovered. 


*God desires that we walk with Him wholly and fully, to the end.*


Jesus said: 'Be ye Perfect as your Father in Heaven is Perfect'  - *Matthew 5:48*


*There is nothing hidden that will not be brought to Light and he who covers his sins, cannot Prosper.*


*We must not get carried away by whatever we are doing  for God, forgetting our walk with Him.*


Jacob said to the Angel: I will not leave you unless you bless me. He held on to the Angel until his name was changed - *Genesis 32:24-28*


Our God is Merciful and Faithful, let us hold on to Him, until we are able to overcome that besetting sin.


*Prayer:*

Father, Please give me Grace to overcome every sin delaying the Promises of God in my life in Jesus Christ Name.
