*PRAYER ROOM VERSUS DINING ROOM*

SCRIPTURE: Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel -

*I Kings 18:46*


When Elijah killed the four hundred Prophets of Baal, he told Ahab, king of Israel to get up and eat for there was a sound of abundance of rain. 


Ahab got up to eat and Elijah went to the top of the Mount Carmel and cast himself on the ground to Pray. 


Thereafter, he sent his servant to observe the cloud if there was any Sign that it was going to rain. 


The servant came back to inform him that there was no Sign. 


He continued Praying until it was evident that it was going to rain.


Elijah then told Ahab to go on his Chariot to Jezreel so that the rain will not stop him. He obeyed and rode on his Chariot to the gate of Jezreel.


*After Ahab had left on his Chariot, the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah and he ran before Ahab into the gate of Jezreel.* *1 Kings 18:41-46*


*This wonderful story teaches us the differences between a Man from the Prayer Room and a man from the Dining Room.* 


Elijah was from the Prayer Room while Ahab was the Dining Room.


Two People may be class mates but not in the same class. 


*The man from the Praying Room may be the class mate of the man from the Dining Room but the story teaches us that they are not in the same class.*


*Ahab was the King of Israel yet, he was under the command of Elijah who was from the Prayer Room.* 


*Prayer will put a man in command of men and circumstances.*


*Secondly, men from the Prayer Room will enjoy the Hand of God while the men from the Dining Room can only enjoy the hand of man.*


*Thirdly, while the man from the Dining Room is running at the Natural Speed, the man from the Prayer Room will enjoy Supernatural Speed, flying over all obstacles and hindrances of life to overtake all those who have gone ahead of him* - *1 Kings 18:46*


The Bible therefore enjoins us to Pray without ceasing - *1 Thessalonians 5:17*


And also to Pray about everything - *Philippians 4:6*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to Pray without ceasing and Pray about everything in Jesus Christ Name.
