From the spiritual to the physical, morals, character development, and even academic development, there is something for everyone. Every parent wishes for their child to flourish academically. It makes the heart happy. This should not, however, come at the expense of character and moral growth.   There is a trend in which schools that previously prohibited children from using phones suddenly begin to require parents to purchase phones for their children a few weeks before their final examination.   Then you'll hear parents respond, "Well, what do we do? It's the norm." That's how it's always been done. Simply give Ceaser what belongs to Ceaser. Thus, parents enable the wrongdoing.   *CHIEF REMINDING OFFICER*                                         I had a lot of responses to yesterday's post, with many people sharing other amusing lines of thought with me about why young people do different things. A couple of people inquired about the next steps after repeatedly discussing the issue with their children, who don't seem to know whether or not they are obeying.   They believe the rate at which young people are exposed to these societal evils is overwhelming since you learn something new virtually every day. I noticed a principle in the Old Testament where God tells parents to constantly tell their children about his word, whether at home, on the road, or when eating or sleeping. The narrative revolved around Joseph being a man of integrity and refusing to cheat on his boss, even when given the opportunity.   In the course of teaching, I  talked about the issue of internet fraud known as "Yahoo". One of the boys in our Bible club suddenly blurted out, "Have they not cheated us enough?"   My ears tingled, and we were all taken aback by that young lad's unexpected reaction. I instantly drew my chair closer to him while  explored him and corrected the narrative, sharing more about some of the Bible characters we've learned from.   After conversing with the class, it occurred to me how many of our young people become involved in vices through this channel.   *CARRY YOUR CHILDREN ALONG.*                                           During my  yearly teen outreach a few weeks ago, a dear teen mentor shared her observation. How this generation's teenagers are chilly towards the things of God How their parents had to coerce them into praying and attending teen gatherings It's more like they don't want to be associated with spirituality. They don't want to keep God in their heads. Then what happens to their children's generation?   As I've been meditating on the scriptures this week, I've noticed that whenever the Lord offers directions to the Israelites, he emphasizes that they should bring their children with them. After three days, Laban decided to Pursue him with an Army of men.  On his journey, God appeared to Laban and warned him not to hurt Jacob. I felt ecstatic in my soul as I watched young people pray passionately throughout the prayer session. As a result, the phrase came to me.  SEED OF TRANSFORMATION DAILY DEVOTIONAL                                          *OFFERINGS WITHOUT FIRE* *By Pastor E O Gabriel  14 September 2023* SCRIPTURE: And the fire upon the Altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the Priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the Peace Offerings - *Leviticus 6:12* The Lord commands that fire on the Altar must never go out.  Every offering on the Altar must be burnt because only burnt Offerings are acceptable to God.  This teaches us that Offerings without fire is unacceptable to God. *Let us therefore take a look at Offerings without fire:* *1)* Religion without God.   TEENS AND ROLE MODELS 5,  AND MY WORDS AGAINST YOUR WORDS.                                           As parents, we can directly or indirectly influence our children's choice of model. We can assist them in making a decision that will have a significant impact on their lives.   The first step is to cultivate wonderful relationships with other families that share your beliefs and values. This is more of a blueprint for them to follow.   Discuss positive, inspirational heroes from stories and everyday life. Let them know what makes them distinctive, why they are worth emulating, the problems they've faced and how they overcame them, and even the price they had to pay to get to where they are today.   At times, you may also show them the reverse model, allowing them to see their own accomplishments and how well they are doing in their own field.   You should also bring out what is wrong with them, how it contradicts your value system, why they should not emulate them, a
